MySQL CHAR Function

This function returns a string from number input.

Syntax CHAR

  • N1: Number input 1
  • N2: Number input 2
CHAR(N1, N2,..);

Example 1

mysql> SELECT CHAR(65);
+----------+
| CHAR(65) |
+----------+
| A        |
+----------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

Example 2

mysql>  SELECT CHAR(77,121,83,81,'76');
+-------------------------+
| CHAR(77,121,83,81,'76') |
+-------------------------+
| MySQL                   |
+-------------------------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)
