MySQL REVOKE Function

This function revokes privileges from MySQL accounts.

Syntax REVOKE

REVOKE
    priv_type [(column_list)]
      [, priv_type [(column_list)]] ...
    ON priv_level
    FROM user [, user] ...

REVOKE ALL PRIVILEGES, GRANT OPTION
    FROM user [, user] ...

Example 1

mysql> REVOKE ALL PRIVILEGES ON hobdb.* FROM 'hobdb'@'localhost';
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)

Example 2

mysql> REVOKE DELETE ON hobdb.* FROM 'sophal'@'wlith';
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)

Example 3

mysql> REVOKE ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* FROM 'sophal'@'wlith';
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)
