PHP function fflush

This function writes all buffered output to an open file.

Syntax fflush

  • file: file name
fflush(file);

Return

Return TRUE on success and FALSE on failure.

Example 1

$filename = 'myfile.txt';

$file = fopen($filename, 'r+');
rewind($file);
fwrite($file, 'great day');
fflush($file);
ftruncate($file, ftell($file));
fclose($file);

?>

Example 2

$filename = 'myfile.txt';

$file = fopen($filename, 'a+');

fflush($file);
fwrite($file, "my other contents");
fclose($file);
