PHP function fileinode

This function returns the inode of a file. In Linux command line uses ls -i or ls -l to list a file with the inode information.

Syntax fileinode

fileinode(filename);

Return

Return file inode number on success, otherwise returns FALSE.

Note

  • The result of this function is cached, and use clearstatcache() to clear the cache.
  • This function does not support in Windows platforms.
