PHP function set_file_buffer

This function is an alias of stream_set_write_buffer() function.

Syntax set_file_buffer

  • stream: file pointer
  • buffer: the number of bytes to buffer, whenever this argument sets to 0 then

write operations are unbufferred. This means that all the writes fwrite() are first completed before all other processes are allowed to write to that output stream.

set_file_buffer(stream,buffer);

Note

Return 0 on success or otherwise returns EOF.

Example 1

<?php
$file = 'test3.txt';
$fp = fopen($file, "w");
if ($fp) {
  set_file_buffer($fp, 0);
  fwrite($fp, 'learn to success!');
  fclose($fp);
}
?>
