PHP function readfile

This function outputs a file content.

Syntax readfile

  • file: file to read
  • include_path (optional): when sets to true, it will search for the file in the include_path (in php.ini) also.
  • context (optional): a context stream resource
readfile(file, include_path,context );

Note

  • @readfile(file) to hide the error when it is occurred.
  • Returns the number of bytes read from the file.

Example 1

echo readfile('http://www.google.com/');
?>

echo readfile('filetxt.txt');
