PHP function fgetss

This function removes HTML or PHP tag for an open file.

Syntax fgetss

  • file: file name
  • length (optional): set the number of bytes to read, and its default is 1024 byte or 1M.
  • tags (optional): set the tags that will not be removed
fgetss(file, length, tags);

File Content (myfile.txt)

<p>Learn PHP</p> 
<i>Learn Jquery</i>
<b>Learn HTML</b>

Example 1

<?php

$file = fopen("myfile.txt", "r");
while (!feof($file)) {
	echo fgetss($file);
	echo "<br/>";
}
fclose($file);
?>

Output: Removed all the HTML tags
