PHP function fileowner

This function returns the user ID of file.

Syntax fileowner

filename is a file to check.

fileowner(filename);

Note

The result of this function are cached, and use clearstatcache() function to clear the cache.

Example 1

<?php 
   $filename = 'myfile1.txt';

   $oid = fileowner($filename);
   echo $oid ;
   echo "\n";
// convert user ID to user information
   $ownername = posix_getpwuid($oid);
   print_r( $ownername );
?>
